NBA Injury Woes Mount for Contenders
The playoff push faces mounting hurdles as several key players underwent surgeries or face extended absences. Memphis Grizzlies confirmed that guard Scotty Pippen Jr. & forward Santi Aldama will both miss the remainder of the season following Tuesday operations. Compounding injury news across the league, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is scheduled for reevaluation in one week after tests confirmed a bone bruise & a hyperextended left knee. Furthermore, Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards will also be sidelined for 1-2 weeks after an MRI revealed inflammation in his right knee, forcing multiple contenders to adjust their rotation strategy immediately.
