Grizzlies' Pippen Jr. and Aldama Out for Season After Surgery

The Memphis Grizzlies announced that guard Scotty Pippen Jr. and forward Santi Aldama will miss the remainder of the season following successful surgeries on Tuesday. Pippen underwent an operation on his right big toe, while Aldama had a procedure and injection to address right knee discomfort. Both players are expected to be ready for next season.

Pippen had previously undergone a similar procedure in October and didn't make his season debut until last month, appearing in 10 games and averaging 11.4 points. Aldama, who was averaging 14 points and 6.7 rebounds this season, joins Pippen on the sidelines as the Grizzlies struggle through a difficult campaign. Memphis has lost eight consecutive games and sits nine games back in the race for the final play-in berth in the Western Conference.

The injuries compound the Grizzlies' challenges, as star guard Ja Morant has played in only 20 games this season, missing the last 25 with a left elbow injury. With Pippen Jr. and Aldama sidelined, Memphis faces an uphill battle to remain competitive in the season's final weeks.
