NBA Play-In Chaos & Seeding
The Western Conference seeding concluded dramatically as the Blazers secured the seventh spot after Deni Avdija erupted for 41 points, overcoming an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to defeat the Suns 114-110. Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference play-in provided an instant classic where the Hornets ousted the Heat in overtime, propelled by LaMelo Ball's go-ahead bucket with 4.7 seconds remaining, sealed by a Miles Bridges block at the buzzer. Adding an unusual subplot to the league's recent coverage, rapper J. Cole concluded his brief tenure playing professional basketball in China after appearing in just one game.
Broadcast Issues Plague Thriller
The frantic finish between Miami and Charlotte was marred by technical difficulties on the streaming service, as the Amazon Prime Video feed cut out for almost two full minutes during the overtime period, meaning many viewers missed a critical Hornets possession just before the game-deciding sequence unfolded on the court.
