Honor launched the Robot Phone in China in August, and it has now reached Zack from the Jerry Rig Everything YouTube channel for durability testing and disassembly.

The Robot Phone's gimbal camera is impressive but runs hot. The front glass scratches at level 6 on the Mohs scale with deeper grooves at level 7, typical of current display glass. The aluminum frame holds up well, but dust and sand infiltration prevents the gimbal from extending from its enclosure, indicating the robot arm isn't truly dust-proof.

Despite these issues, the device survives the bend test with flying colors. The vapor chamber is glued to the back of the screen, meaning Honor uses the display for heat dissipation. The 200MP periscope telephoto camera includes OIS, and the robot arm proves difficult to remove from the body.

Overall, the Robot Phone represents an impressive engineering feat despite some durability concerns.
