tvOS 27 is rolling out now for Apple TV 4K. It adds a revamped Apple Podcasts app with video support and sidebar navigation, new Apple Music features like Auto Mix and Hi-Res Lossless Audio, and Dynamic Type for custom text sizes. You can also update your Apple TV 4K directly from your iPhone via the Home app.

Apple says tvOS 27 supports faster AirPlay connections, smoother animations, and a more responsive Control Center. It's compatible with all Apple TV 4K models except the first generation; Apple TV HD is not supported.

Missing from tvOS 27 is the new Siri AI assistant and a "Smart downloads" feature mentioned at WWDC. Rumors suggest a new Apple TV 4K with hardware upgrades for Siri AI is coming.
