Blizzard Entertainment has officially announced Star Craft, a new open-world story-driven sci-fi shooter set in the Koprulu Sector 70 years after Star Craft II: Legacy of the Void. Revealed during the opening ceremony of Blizz Con 2026 at the Anaheim Convention Center, the title marks the franchise's first mainline release since 2015. Led by game director Dan Hay, the project is currently early in development with a target launch window of 2030.

Blizzard stated future updates will provide gameplay reveals and world deep dives over the coming years as part of a broader slate of franchise announcements. The game transitions the long-running real-time strategy series into an open-world shooter format.
