PS5 emulator KytyPS5 has added Astro's Playroom to its growing list of supported exclusives, with the pack-in platformer now booting into gameplay. YouTuber Unreal Gaming shared footage running on a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and RTX 4080, the same hardware used in previous KytyPS5 tests. Astro's Playroom ships pre-installed on every PS5 and serves as an interactive introduction to the DualSense controller, making this a solid emulation milestone despite performance still lagging below 30 FPS frequently. The clip shows no crashes, placing it slightly ahead of other recent KytyPS5 tests.

The emulator previously achieved the PS5 build of GTA 5 running at up to 60 FPS and demonstrated rapid progress with Demon's Souls Remake. Both titles, along with Astro Bot, still face performance and crashing issues. Given PS5 emulation's early stage, performance across these titles will likely keep improving. Hardware demands remain steep, with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D becoming a baseline for these CPU-bound emulation runs. The rapid pace of updates suggests development isn't slowing down.
