Startup investors closed major rounds this week, with Castelion leading at $800M for its hypersonic missile defense tech. The Torrance, California-based company secured funding from JPMorgan Chase, Andreessen Horowitz, and Carlyle at a $13B valuation.

AI and semiconductor firms also drew significant capital. Etched, a San Jose-based AI inference cluster developer, raised $700M from Jane Street at a $21B valuation. Meanwhile, Higgsfield, an AI video-creation platform, closed $400M at a $5.4B valuation.

Other notable rounds included Groq ($350M for data centers), Wispr Flow ($280M for voice-to-text AI), and Muon Space ($250M for satellite constellations). Additional funding went to Also ($150M for micromobility), Velaura AI ($110M for AI computing), Rillet ($100M for agentic finance), and Happy Health ($75M for sleep testing).
