Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 17 5G in India with a battery upgrade over the global variant. The Indian model features a 7,900m Ah battery compared to the 7,500m Ah cell in international markets, while retaining identical design and specifications elsewhere.

The device is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 chipset with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable via micro SD card slot. It sports a 6.9-inch LCD display with 120Hz refresh rate and HD+ resolution, protected by Corning's Gorilla Glass 7i.

Photography capabilities include a 50MP main rear camera and 8MP front-facing selfie camera. Additional features comprise side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP64 rating, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS.

Pricing starts at INR 23,999 for 6GB/128GB variant, with 8GB/128GB option at INR 26,999. Available in Absolute Black, Eternal Orange, and Endless Blue. Sales commence September 10.
