League Governance & Player Moves
Jalen Reeves-Maybin secured his position atop the players' union after being re-elected as president of the NFL Players Association's Board of Player Representatives on Sunday, maintaining continuity within the organization's leadership structure. Off the field, team roster adjustments continued as tight end Dallas Goedert agreed to a one-year extension that keeps him with the Eagles for a ninth season in Philadelphia, according to sources close to the negotiations. Similarly, safety Nick Scott finalized a one-year contract to remain with the Panthers after logging a personal-best 111 tackles during the previous campaign.
Offensive Outlooks & League Visibility
The Steelers' recent acquisitions of wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and running back Rico Dowdle suggest the team is planning for a decidedly "physical, run-first offense" under the guidance of Mike McCarthy moving into the 2026 season. Away from team facilities, former Saints quarterback Drew Brees made a notable appearance alongside current signal-caller Tyler Shough during exhibition games hosted by the Savannah Bananas at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, drawing significant local attention to the area's football history.
