Google's latest Android feature Drop introduces practical updates beyond AI expansions. For devices running Android 16 or higher, users can now tell Gemini to log the location of untracked items, including photos, directly into Find Hub. Previously limited to phones, earbuds, and tracker tags, Find Hub now stores these "remembered items" for easy retrieval via voice query or manual check.

Gemini Live gains Guided Vision, an accessibility feature using the camera to locate objects or read text in difficult conditions, such as dim menus. It provides spatial guidance, indicating hand distance to targets. Guided Vision works on nearly all Android phones from Android 9 Pie onward and is accessible via system shortcuts or TalkBack.

Additionally, Motion Assist dots — designed to reduce motion sickness by displaying animated dots on screen edges during travel — are now rolling out widely after appearing last week. Since this is an Android Drop rather than a Pixel Drop, these features reach a broader device ecosystem, though OS version requirements apply for specific Gemini integrations.
