At IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany, Microsoft announced upcoming Windows 11 improvements focused on faster boot times, better Windows Hello responsiveness, and optimizations for systems with 8 GB of RAM. Mark Linton, Corporate Vice President of Windows & Devices at Microsoft, stated these changes will roll out across upcoming builds. The company is also expanding the Low Latency Profile to more applications, boosting CPU frequency for 1-3 seconds to speed up launches.

Testing shows around 40% faster app launches for Microsoft software like Edge and Outlook. Additionally, Microsoft is optimizing Windows 11 for entry-level machines with 8 GB RAM to address demand similar to Apple's Mac Book Neo with 8 GB of RAM configurations.
