VIA Labs is launching the VL610 and VL610D chipsets at Computex 2026 to meet rising demand for multi-display USB-C docking. The VL610 supports three video outputs while the VL610D handles two, enabling up to three high-resolution displays simultaneously. That is a major jump from the VL605, which offered a single HDMI 2.1 output.

The chipset runs DP 2.1 HBR3 Multi-Stream Transport and handles 8K60Hz or 4K240Hz on one display, or three displays at 4K60Hz. It includes a DSC 1.2a decoder, cross-platform VRR, and ECDSA-256 authentication for secure firmware. Six independent audio and video streams are supported, with brand logo display during fault conditions.
