Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH announced the availability of its S300 AI Surveillance Hard Drive in retail packaging, expanding access beyond bulk channels. Initially launched in bulk form in November 2025, the drive targets professional surveillance users, including system integrators, IT resellers, and security installers. The retail version supports smaller purchase quantities and easier replacement, while maintaining enterprise-grade performance.

The S300 AI is designed for AI-enabled workloads, handling mixed sequential recording and random access. It offers capacities from 8 TB to 24 TB, supports up to 64 camera streams plus 32 additional AI streams, and features a workload rating of 550 TB per year, an MTTF of up to 2.5 million hours, and a five-year warranty. Larry Martinez-Palomo, Vice President and Head of the Storage Products Division at Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH, noted that retail packaging makes it easier for customers to source drives through preferred channels.

The product will be available from the end of Q3 or beginning of Q4 2026.
