OnlyOffice has released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite, introducing context-aware AI tools directly inside the document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. A dedicated AI tab with built-in chat lets teams draft, summarize, translate, clean and format content without leaving the file. Legal teams can summarize contracts, analysts can generate forecasts or Pivot Tables, and managers can turn ideas into structured presentations. Organizations control how AI is used, choosing models based on quality, speed, and cost. Cloud users can enable OnlyOffice AI via Open Router, while server deployments can connect any model, including local ones, so sensitive data remains within infrastructure.
The release also introduces four free Apps that extend OnlyOffice Docs under AGPL v3: AI Agents for workspace automation, Forms for data collection, Files for document storage with access controls, and Rooms for secure collaboration, including Virtual Data Rooms. In the cloud the Apps are on by default, while on servers a single command installs them.
Editor enhancements include metadata removal, customizable annotations, automatic table recognition and reusable signatures in the PDF Editor. The Document Editor adds real-time cursor following for co-authors, a "Keep with next" option and more reliable RTL support. Spreadsheets run faster with optimized functions and formula hints, while Presentations gain new view modes and GIF or video export for slides.
OnlyOffice 10.0 includes around 50 new features and more than 1,000 fixes across online, desktop, and mobile editors. It also fixes 35 vulnerabilities, strengthening protection for organizations handling sensitive data as AI-driven threats continue to evolve. The desktop editors receive a refreshed homepage and Odoo integration, and the free iOS and Android apps add an AI assistant supporting Grok and Deep Seek, AI Auto Fill and voice input.
