System76 refreshed its Lemur Pro laptop line with new 14-inch and 16-inch models, now featuring Intel's Panther Lake processors. The 14-inch variant weighs under a kilogram with a 1920x1200 display, while the 16-inch model offers a QHD+ screen. Both boast 16:10 matte panels with full sRGB coverage and a 65W USB-C charger.

These updated laptops promise up to 18 hours of battery life from their 73 Wh cells, an improvement over the previous generation. Processor options include the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with 16 cores and 48-core Intel Arc graphics, or the Core Ultra 5 325 with 8 cores. Both configurations come with 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and Wi-Fi 7.

Connectivity includes Thunderbolt 4, multiple USB ports, HDMI, and a microSD card reader. Users can select Linux operating systems like Pop!_OS or Ubuntu. The new Lemur Pro laptops start at $1,999, representing an increase from similarly configured previous models that offered more storage and RAM for less.
