System76 has refreshed its Thelio Mira desktop series with major thermal and design improvements. The new chassis combines aluminium, steel, and tempered glass, featuring a vertical control bar that consolidates power and front I/O into a clean strip. Steel fasteners throughout ensure durability, while panels are designed for quick access during upgrades or maintenance.

On the cooling front, System76 claims up to 19% higher sustained CPU clock speeds and temperature drops of up to 13.5°C thanks to liquid cooling and revised airflow. The system is built around an ASRock X870 Pro RS WiFi motherboard, supporting up to a Ryzen 9 9950X or 9950X3D processor, 192 GB of DDR5 memory, and 28 TB of storage across NVMe and SATA drives.

Graphics options include a single card up to an RTX 5090 or Radeon RX 9070 XT over PCIe 5.0. Connectivity features USB4, 2.5 GbE, and Wi-Fi 7, with PSU requirements ranging from 750 W to 1000 W for high-end GPU configurations. The Mira carries open-source firmware elements and is built with long-term usability in mind.
