Swissbit unveiled the N7000 series, its first PCIe Gen 4 SSD built entirely on in‑house NAND and a proprietary controller. The lineup spans more than 30 SKUs, covering 240 GB to 3.84 TB in M.2 2242 and 2280 formats, and offers C‑grade (0 °C‑+70 °C) and I‑grade (‑40 °C‑+85 °C) temperature ranges. Designed for fanless, thermally constrained edge devices, the drives promise consistent performance under tight power budgets.

Power efficiency stems from a DRAM‑less controller that leverages Host Memory Buffer, while NVMe power‑loss notification and AES‑256 encryption meet mission‑critical data‑security needs. Swissbit also introduced the N7600 pSLC variant, offering endurance ten times higher than TLC models in capacities from 80 GB to 1.28 TB, targeting logging, caching and continuous acquisition workloads. Such durability makes the N7600 suitable for 24/7 factory monitoring.

The N7000 family rolls out first with C‑grade parts, followed by I‑grade and the upcoming N7001/N7601 models that add fast‑erase, write‑protect and optional conformal coating for extreme‑reliability deployments. Engineering samples are already shipping, and full production aims for mid‑year release. Swissbit’s vertically integrated approach reduces supply‑chain risk while giving OEMs a low‑power, high‑responsiveness storage option for industrial IoT and edge‑AI.
