Semis Foundries See 2.6% Revenue Jump as AI Drives Demand

TSMC reported $33.7 billion in 4Q25 revenue, maintaining its 70.4% market share despite slightly lower wafer shipments, while Samsung Foundry saw 6.7% growth to $3.4 billion, boosted by 2nm products and HBM4 memory. GlobalFoundries climbed to fifth with 8.4% revenue growth to $1.8 billion, driven by data center demand. The top ten foundries collectively earned $169.5 billion in 2025, a 26.3% YoY record, fueled by AI server GPUs and new smartphones. Samsung increased its market share to 7.1% from 6.8% by returning to profitability, while Tower jumped to seventh place with 11.1% revenue growth to $440 million from SiPho and SiGe applications. UMC and PSMC also showed gains, though Vanguard and Nexchip declined due to softer DDIC demand and shipment delays.
