Quantum Machines, a global leader in quantum control technology, will establish a flagship hub at the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park. The company plans to operate a state-of-the-art lab focused on hardware-control co-design research, aligning quantum processors with classical infrastructure and control software. While the Park is under development, Quantum Machines will temporarily operate from the IQMP's On-Ramp facilities in Chicago.

Governor JB Pritzker emphasized that Quantum Machines' presence confirms Illinois as a premier destination for quantum innovation. The company's technology supports any quantum processor type, with more than half of quantum computing companies relying on their solutions. Their advanced OPX1000 controller will be deployed at the Park, featuring systems with superconducting and spin qubits.

Quantum Machines also announced partnerships with the IQMP, Illinois EDC, and the Chicago Quantum Exchange on workforce development initiatives. The company has selected Chicago to host the 2026 Adaptive Quantum Circuits conference, attracting Nobel Prize-winning researchers and leading quantum companies. This expansion strengthens Illinois' position as a global leader in quantum technology development and commercialization.
