Qualcomm Technologies and Meta unveiled a multi‑generation deal that makes Qualcomm the exclusive supplier of data‑center CPUs for Meta’s upcoming server fleet. The partnership centers on Dragonfly C1000 chip, which promises leading per‑core performance while slashing power draw. Both CEOs framed the pact as a validation of Qualcomm’s shift from mobile to enterprise compute.

Production of the Dragonfly C1000 begins in the second half of 2028, with Qualcomm slated to supply future capacity expansions as Meta scales its AI‑driven services. The chip integrates high‑performance connectivity and system‑level optimizations designed to boost performance‑per‑watt, a metric Meta cites as crucial for keeping total‑cost‑of‑ownership low across massive scale‑out deployments.

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon highlighted the CPU’s breakthrough efficiency, saying the design delivers “leading performance per core” for large‑scale data centers.
