QNAP Systems has unveiled the QSW-M7230-2X4F24T, a new L3 Lite managed switch designed to help enterprises transition to 100 GbE networks without replacing existing infrastructure. The switch features two 100 GbE QSFP28 ports, four 25 GbE SFP28 ports, and twenty-four 10 GbE RJ45 ports in a compact 1U form factor.

As data-intensive applications like AI computing and virtualization strain traditional 10GbE networks, the QSW-M7230-2X4F24T offers a flexible multi-speed architecture. This allows organizations to deploy higher-speed connectivity where needed while preserving current 10 GbE investments. The switch supports 1080 Gbps non-blocking switching capacity for wire-speed forwarding under heavy workloads.

For AI and high-performance storage environments, the switch includes PFC and ECN support for lossless Ethernet operation in RDMA and RoCE setups. It also features L3 Lite management, MC-LAG high-availability architecture, and AMIZcloud cloud-based centralized management. These capabilities make it suitable for broadcast production, live events, and enterprise video applications requiring multicast control and precise time synchronization.
