PowerColor brought custom AMD Radeon RX 9000 series prototypes to Computex 2026, putting a flashy spin on graphics card aesthetics. The company revealed variants of its RX 9070 XT Red Devil, HellHound, and Reaper models featuring UV-reactive artwork on the backplates that light up under blacklight conditions.

One design displays cherry tree branches in full blossom, while another called "She Wears Red" presents an abstract monstrosity across the Red Devil model. The most elaborate prototype, "Relics that Still Burn," incorporates Egyptian hieroglyphs physically etched into the backplate and filled with UV-reactive paint for dramatic visual effect.

A fourth design named "The Architecture" builds on the RX 9070 XT HellHound Spectral White, using a print of the bare PCB underneath that illuminates under UV lighting. These artistic treatments showcase PowerColor's focus on visual customization rather than hardware improvements.

While the UV-reactive designs certainly stand out on the show floor, they don't address performance upgrades or new specifications. For enthusiasts who prioritize RGB lighting and unique aesthetics over raw performance gains, these prototypes offer eye-catching alternatives to standard graphics card designs.
