AMD has introduced its new entry-level RDNA 4 GPU, the Radeon RX 9050, available in 4 GB and 8 GB versions. The 4 GB edition will be exclusively offered to OEMs for integration into low-end PC systems, as confirmed by Hassan Mujtaba of Wccftech. The 8 GB version is slated for retail sale as the most affordable RDNA 4 GPU from AMD, with an expected price of $279.

Both models share core specifications, including 1,024 Streaming Processors across 16 Compute Units and a boost clock speed of up to 2.6 GHz. The primary distinction lies in memory configuration. The 4 GB variant features GDDR6 memory on a 64-bit bus, yielding 144 GB/s of memory bandwidth. In contrast, the 8 GB version utilizes GDDR6 on a 128-bit bus, delivering double the throughput at 288 GB/s.

AMD's add-in board partners are handling the launch, with initial models like the Power Color Radeon RX 9050 8 GB Reaper and Sapphire Radeon RX 9050 Pulse 8 GB appearing. ASRock had briefly listed the 4 GB edition on its website before removing it.
