Orbital has unveiled an updated version of its highly modular Pathfinder gaming mouse, introducing refreshed internals and new customization options. The new Pathfinder: Ghost drops the starting price to $149 from $189, making the base mouse and exploration kit more accessible. Four additional interchangeable shapes expand the mouse's configuration options to over 5,000 possible combinations.

The updated model features a redesigned PCB based on the Nordic nRF54L15 microcontroller and now supports modular switches—a first for the line. The mag-alloy scroll wheel has also been reworked, though Orbital hasn't specified the exact changes. A special edition variant features a clear plastic alloy shell, giving users a glimpse into the mouse's internal components.

The $29 expansion kit launches April 30 as a limited, made-to-order production run. Black version owners can purchase the improvements separately, with Orbital confirming these enhancements will carry forward into the mainline Pathfinder base kit.
