Finalmouse has unveiled its Starlight X wireless gaming mouse, marking the company's first new shape in 11 years. The ultra-light peripheral weighs just 38 grams thanks to a carbon fiber composite shell designed specifically for FPS gaming. The symmetrical shape features a fuller rear hump with reduced pressure points for improved comfort during extended sessions.

The standout feature is TMR sensing technology, which enables analog functionality including rapid trigger and adjustable actuation points. Finalmouse claims up to 35 ms latency reduction compared to similar mice. The TMR Dual-State switch system adds mechanical click feedback while keeping weight penalty minimal at just 0.24 grams per switch.

A custom F1 sensor developed with PixArt and Nordic nRF54LM20 MCU deliver 223 µs end-to-end latency. Finalmouse's PerfectPolling technology aims to optimize performance beyond traditional polling rates, though specific figures remain undisclosed. The SLX Nightfall colorway launches May 30 for $179 via preorder.

This release positions Finalmouse against competitors like Logitech's G Pro X2 Superstrike, which weighs 61 grams. The lighter weight and advanced switch technology could appeal to competitive FPS players seeking every performance advantage.
