NVIDIA's RTX 5060 9GB Targets Budget Gamers

NVIDIA is preparing to launch 9GB variants of its upcoming RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti graphics cards, targeting budget-conscious consumers while managing component costs. The new models will use three 3GB GDDR7 memory modules, following the same approach as the previously announced RTX 5050 9GB version.

Memory configuration changes include a reduction from 128-bit to 96-bit bus width using new 24Gbit memory chips. This adjustment results in 336 GB/s total bandwidth and reduced memory performance compared to standard configurations, representing a trade-off between cost and capability for the mid-range segment.

According to sources, the new RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti 9GB models are scheduled for release between May and June, with Computex serving as a likely launch platform. This strategy continues NVIDIA's pattern of offering multiple VRAM options across its product lines.
