If you thought consumer graphics card prices were bad, the workstation front is no different. NVIDIA’s flagship RTX PRO 6000 “Blackwell” now retails for $16,000, the most expensive GPU sold outside its server lines. The card ships with 24,064 CUDA cores and 96 GB of GDDR7, yet the price shocks even an enterprise buyer.

The GPU uses 32 GDDR7 modules—16 on the front and 16 on the back—each 3 GB. Late July, a single module cost $60–$70, so GDDR7 alone ran $1,920–$2,240. Supply chain hikes multiply this cost across all 32 modules, and other scarce parts like MLCCs further inflate the final price.

NVIDIA launched the card at an MSRP of $8,565, raised it to $13,250 in June, and now it sits about 87% above the original price. If GDDR7 prices stay high, a full 100% jump could push the GPU beyond $17,000.
