NVIDIA Ends RTX 5070 Ti Production Amid Memory Shortage

NVIDIA has reportedly stopped production of its GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. This comes from ASUS, a major partner, who shared the news with Hardware Unboxed. The card is now in end-of-life status, creating a severe supply shortage for retailers.

This sudden halt is tied to a broader DRAM shortage affecting GDDR7 memory. Resources are being redirected to the lower-capacity RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB model, while the 16 GB version faces dwindling stock and rising prices. The planned RTX 50 'SUPER' refresh was also postponed for the same reason.

The move suggests NVIDIA is prioritizing volume over high-end mid-range cards. For consumers, this means fewer options and higher costs for these specific models. All eyes are now on whether the memory supply chain can recover later this year.
