Lenovo has officially launched the ThinkBook 16+ in China, marking the beginning of its LPCAMM2 rollout to mainstream laptops. This follows the introduction of the new memory standard with the ThinkPad P1 Gen 7 workstation in 2024. LPCAMM2 combines the performance of LPDDR5X memory with the upgradeability of traditional SODIMM modules, offering up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8533 memory.

Powered by Intel's Core Ultra X7 385H processor and Arc B390 iGPU, the ThinkBook 16+ delivers impressive specifications including Wi-Fi 7, a 165 Hz display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage and VRR support, and a 99.9 Wh battery. The laptop features a comprehensive port selection with Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, and USB 2.0 Type-B ports, plus a 4-in-1 SD card reader and Windows Hello-compatible 1080p webcam with physical shutter.

Lenovo has also integrated its Magic Bay accessory ecosystem and pressure-sensitive Forcepad with haptic feedback into the new ThinkBook series. Priced at RMB 8499 ($1,240) for the 16+ model and RMB 8299 ($1,210) for the 14+, these laptops currently launch exclusively in China, though Lenovo is expected to introduce similar models under different branding for international markets.
