Keychron is expanding its low-profile keyboard lineup with the upcoming K3 HE and K3 Ultra, both slated for a February 12th launch. These new models build on the company's existing designs, blending a slim form factor with gaming-focused features. The K3 HE will feature Hall effect magnetic switches, allowing for adjustable actuation and multi-action inputs.

The K3 Ultra opts for traditional mechanical switches, boasting pre-lubed low-profile Milk POM switches with an 8,000 Hz polling rate. This high polling rate results in incredibly low input latency, a critical factor for competitive gaming. Both models emphasize portability and are expected to sport an ABS bottom case with metal and wood accents, similar to earlier Special Edition keyboards.

Keychron's focus on low-profile designs caters to a growing market. These keyboards are designed to offer a more compact and streamlined typing experience. The use of Hall effect switches in the K3 HE allows for more customization options. While pricing remains unannounced, early access requires a $3 reservation fee.
