Intel launches the Granite Rapids-WS Xeon 600 workstation processors, succeeding the Granite Rapids line. These chips, featuring up to 86 Redwood Cove P-cores (the same architecture as Core Ultra Meteor Lake), deliver a significant 61% multithreaded performance gain over the prior generation. The top model offers an 86-core/172-thread configuration with a 4.80 GHz Turbo Boost frequency, specifically optimized for AI workloads via Intel AMX FP16 accelerators and a full AVX-512 pipeline.

This marks a major shift towards workstation-centric designs for Intel's Xeon line.
