Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has confirmed the ongoing collaboration with NVIDIA, marking a significant partnership between the two tech giants. The collaboration, which began with NVIDIA's investment in Intel and an initial product announcement, is now evolving into a deeper ecosystem integration with exciting new products in development.

The most anticipated result is the upcoming Serpent Lake chip package, which will mark the first joint collaboration between NVIDIA and Intel in a single chip. Similar to their previous "Kaby Lake G" partnership with AMD, Intel plans to integrate NVIDIA's GeForce RTX graphics directly into its x86 SoCs, creating powerful hybrid processors.

Intel is also producing customized x86 Xeon server processors for NVIDIA, including the "Clearwater Forest" Xeons with up to 288 "Darkmont" E-cores and the "Diamond Rapids" Xeons with up to 192 P-Cores featuring NVLink technology. These specialized processors are designed specifically for NVIDIA's SuperPODs, which house hundreds of GPUs for AI computing workloads.
