Huawei has launched its latest MateBook Pro laptop, featuring a homegrown processor and operating system. The base model, with 24 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD, is priced at 9,999 RMB (approximately $1,480). A top-end configuration with 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD costs 13,999 RMB (around $2,072).

The laptop is powered by the new Kirin X90 Plus SoC, utilizing a foam-copper vapor chamber for cooling and maintaining a 40 W performance envelope. While core counts and GPU specs appear similar to the previous generation, improved thermal management suggests enhanced performance. The device sports a 14.2-inch OLED display with a 3120×2080 resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and 1,000-nit peak brightness.

A 70 Wh battery is rated for 10.2 hours of office work, supported by 140 W fast charging. Connectivity includes three USB-C ports. Preorders are open in China, with sales beginning August 14th. Global availability is unconfirmed.
