Gigabyte has launched two new B450 microATX motherboards for the veteran AMD AM4 socket. The B450M D3HP and B450M D3HP WIFI6E are aimed at budget builds and platform upgrades, offering support for AMD Ryzen 3000, 4000, and 5000 processors. Both boards feature four DDR4 slots supporting up to 128 GB of memory.

These boards offer reasonable features for eight-year-old silicon, including two M.2 slots, four SATA 6 Gb/s ports, and a Q-Flash Plus button for BIOS updates without a compatible CPU. The WIFI6E variant adds Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. While limitations like the lack of PCIe 4.0 and DDR5 exist, these boards serve those building cheap functional PCs or upgrading existing Ryzen 5000 systems.

Gigabyte's continued support for the AM4 platform highlights its longevity, following recent B550 releases. No pricing or exact availability has been announced yet.
