Fraunhofer IIS and Airoha Technology are demonstrating a breakthrough multi-channel spatial audio solution at Mobile World Congress 2026. The collaboration combines Fraunhofer's LC3plus codec and Cingo spatial audio rendering with Airoha's flagship AB1595 Bluetooth SoC, enabling high-definition, low-latency wireless multichannel audio for premium mobile and XR applications.

The solution leverages Airoha's High Data-rate Technology to provide the bandwidth needed for Fraunhofer's LC3plus codec, delivering high-resolution audio with ultra-low latency. This combination goes beyond traditional stereo limitations, supporting scalable multichannel headset designs. Fraunhofer's Cingo technology transforms multichannel content into immersive 3D sound experiences, offering lifelike audio for gaming, streaming, and immersive communications while maintaining efficient low-power performance.

Dynamic spatial audio with head-tracking support comes through CyweeMotion sensor fusion technology, enabling stable performance across form factors. The open AB1595 DSP platform allows efficient third-party algorithm integration, demonstrating Airoha's commitment to empowering OEMs in the competitive wireless audio market. The demonstration at Booth #CS64 showcases high-fidelity transmission, immersive rendering, and packet loss resilience optimized for modern mobile networks.
