CD Projekt RED's Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5 went live yesterday on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Mac, with the Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions due in the coming days. The studio announced the update on October 20 with just two confirmed features, and a YouTuber's early video filled in most of the rest. The leak was mostly right, though a few things changed.

Dual-wielding isn't limited to pistols, since the Double Trouble perk also covers revolvers from the Power category and comes with four extra perks. The mystery Night City tour is called Welcome to Paradise and is narrated by Richard Night, while the Clampdown prequel quest rewards a five-piece gear set based on King. Glamdocs also handle the Monowire and Projectile Launch System, and 12 new Minor Arcana tarot cards are hidden around the city, something the leak didn't seem to mention.

Mods come through mod.io as a curated selection, and the official notes list Switch 2 alongside PC, Mac, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, although the leak suggested otherwise. Modded console saves can't earn achievements or trophies. PC players get DLSS 4.5 with up to 6X Multi Frame Generation, while FSR 3 upscaling is gone, leaving FSR 2.1, FSR 4, and FSR 3.1 frame generation. Consoles finally get an FOV slider.

Separately, CDPR added Xbox Play Anywhere support on October 21, so a digital Xbox copy now also runs on Windows PCs and handhelds through the Xbox app, with shared saves and achievements at no extra cost. It only covers Xbox and Microsoft Store purchases, so Steam and GOG copies don't count.
