After more than five years in development, Vermila Studios and Blumhouse Games have launched Crisol: Theater of Idols, a first-person horror/action game set in Hispania, a twisted version of Spain. Players take on the role of Gabriel, a soldier who uses blood as both weapon and lifeline while exploring the cursed island of Tormentosa. The development team, consisting of twenty-something developers, expressed gratitude for player interest and encouraged reviews to help improve the game.

Crisol is available now on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms. The game features Gabriel battling horrifying enemies while uncovering dark secrets across the cursed island. Vermila Studios has committed to addressing any bugs through hotfixes, with the team standing by to issue updates as needed. Players encountering issues are encouraged to report them through Steam Discussions or the Blumhouse Games Discord.

The team is also working on Steam Deck optimization, with the game currently playable but still undergoing certification. Vermila Studios plans to update the community once the Steam Deck certification is complete. This launch marks a significant milestone for the small development team and represents Blumhouse Games' continued expansion into interactive horror experiences.
