CHERRY expands its security portfolio with the Smart Board 1150 and Smart Terminal ST-1150, successors to the KC 1000 SC and ST-1144. Both models are built on a new proprietary electronics and firmware architecture, with the ST-1150 manufactured entirely in Europe to ensure long-term development and regulatory compliance.

Both solutions feature a flash-based controller enabling post-deployment firmware updates and support Microsoft's native CCID driver plus pcsc-lite for Linux and macOS, allowing driverless integration into existing IT infrastructures. The Smart Board 1150 combines a full-function keyboard with an integrated smart card reader for electronic signatures, authentication, encryption, and access control. It includes a Copilot key, a low-profile reader for one-handed operation, and packaging reduced by approximately 15 percent. A TAA-compliant version meets U.S. Trade Agreements Act requirements for government and military procurement.

The Smart Terminal ST-1150 is a next-generation smart card terminal supporting reading and writing for access control, network login, and online transactions. Its metal-weighted base enables one-handed use, and it meets ISO/IEC 7816, CCID, CAC, TAA, and FIPS-201 standards, making it ideal for regulated organizations.
