ASUS has launched the ROG MATRIX GeForce RTX 5090 D V2 24GB graphics card in China, following last year's limited 32GB release. The Chinese market variant, designed to comply with export regulations, features 24GB of memory and is priced at 29,999 yuan (~$4,341 USD) on JD.com.

The new model builds on the original MATRIX's extreme engineering, including a 3 oz copper PCB and dual-power input system. ASUS China manager Tony Yu recently demonstrated the card achieving a 3DMark Time Spy Extreme score of 28,638 points in an 800W operation mode, reportedly surpassing NVIDIA's RTX PRO 6000 in performance despite having fewer cores.

This launch comes amid ongoing GPU export restrictions to China, which have affected both the original RTX 5090 D 32GB and the Blackwell-based RTX PRO 6000. While the V2 model offers reduced specifications compared to its predecessor, it provides Chinese PC enthusiasts and AI companies access to high-end Blackwell architecture hardware. The market also sees availability of V1 models and black market options for fully unrestricted cards.
