AMD has unveiled its new Instinct MI350P PCIe GPUs, targeting enterprises seeking AI performance without costly data center overhauls. These dual-slot cards fit standard air-cooled servers, offering a middle path between cloud AI deployment and expensive infrastructure redesigns. The GPUs represent AMD's push into the competitive enterprise AI market, providing options for businesses at various stages of AI adoption.

The MI350P delivers impressive specifications with estimated 2,299 TFLOPS performance and up to 4,600 peak TFLOPS at MXFP4 precision. With 144GB of HBM3e memory running at 4TB/s, the card supports critical AI precision levels including MXFP6, MXFP4, INT8, and BF16. AMD emphasizes the card's sparsity support for mainstream 8- and 16-bit precisions, which helps optimize performance across different AI workloads.

Unlike specialized accelerator platforms requiring data center redesigns, the MI350P PCIe cards enable rapid deployment of AI inference workloads on existing infrastructure. The open ecosystem approach with no licensing costs for AMD's enterprise AI stack simplifies integration with existing pipelines and frameworks like PyTorch. Businesses can now deploy advanced AI capabilities without massive capital expenditure or architectural changes to their data centers.
