AMD has shattered the GPU overclocking world record with its Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card, achieving an incredible 4,769 MHz core clock speed. The feat was accomplished in collaboration with renowned overclocker "Splave" from the United States, who previously held the record with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 at 4,020 MHz.

Using liquid nitrogen cooling and RDNA 4 silicon, Splave maintained stability at the blistering clock speed, surpassing the previous record by nearly 750 MHz. While AMD hasn't officially submitted the achievement to HWBot, the company showcased the milestone in a video on its AMD Gaming YouTube channel. The achievement is particularly impressive given the RX 9060 XT's modest stock specifications.

The RX 9060 XT ships with a base clock of 1,700 MHz, a game clock of 2,530 MHz, and a maximum boost clock of 3,130 MHz. This world record represents a 50% increase over the GPU's boost clock, demonstrating the impressive overclocking headroom of AMD's latest RDNA 4 architecture. The record highlights AMD's continued innovation in graphics performance.
