AMD's next-generation Ryzen 10000 series 'Olympic Ridge' desktop processors will launch with Zen 6 cores ranging from 6 to 24 cores across multiple SKUs. The lineup includes single-CCD configurations with 6, 8, 10, and 12 cores, while dual-CCD models will offer 12, 16, 20, and 24 cores. This represents a significant increase in core density per CCD compared to previous generations.

AMD is leveraging TSMC's N2 2nm manufacturing technology to achieve this core density boost, packing up to 12 cores per CCD compared to the previous 8-core maximum. The new process node provides better transistor density, enabling AMD to fit more cores in the same die space. The platform will continue using the AM5 socket, extending its lifespan for another processor generation.

Each core will feature up to 4MB of L3 cache, totaling 48MB per CCD and 96MB for the flagship 24-core SKU. This cache architecture, combined with potential 3D V-Cache enhancements, positions the Ryzen 10000 series to deliver substantial performance gains for both productivity and gaming workloads. The increased core counts and advanced manufacturing process suggest AMD is targeting a significant performance leap over current Ryzen 7000 series processors.
