AMD is reportedly developing the Radeon RX 9050, an entry-level GPU for its 9000-series lineup. Leaked specifications reveal the card features 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM and a down-clocked Navi 44 GPU, which AMD also uses in the RX 9060. Surprisingly, the 9050 contains more stream processors than its higher-end counterpart, with 2048 compared to the 9060's 1792.

Despite having more processing units, the RX 9050 will likely trail the 9060 in performance due to lower clock speeds. The card operates at a Game clock of 1920 MHz and Boost clock of 2600 MHz—13% and 20% slower than the 9060 respectively. AMD may disable some stream processors to ensure the 9050 remains positioned below the 9060 in its product stack.

The leaked specs list a minimum 450W PSU requirement, PCIe 5 ×16 interface, and connectivity options including HDMI 2.1b and dual DisplayPort 2.1a ports. These specifications remain preliminary, suggesting AMD hasn't finalized the product yet. With no official launch date announced, consumers should expect the RX 9050 to arrive only after AMD completes its validation process.
