AEWIN unveiled the NCT802, an 8‑port 10 GbE network expansion module built on Intel E610‑XAT2 controller. The card slots into a PCIe Gen 4 ×8 slot and presents eight RJ45 ports plus four Gen 4 bypass pairs, all accessible from the front panel for quick servicing. By leveraging the newer Intel silicon, the module targets data‑center and enterprise deployments that need dense, high‑speed connectivity.

Intel claims the E610‑XAT2 draws more than 50 % less power than its predecessor, the X710‑AT2, cutting operational costs for always‑on servers. The controller also includes a hardware Root of Trust for firmware resilience and a ten‑year support lifecycle, reassuring buyers of long‑term reliability. AEWIN adds SR‑IOV and VMDq support, allowing a single NIC to be shared across multiple virtual machines with isolated queues.

The NCT802’s four bypass pairs support three operating modes: standard traffic pass‑through, Drop Mode for blocking suspicious flows, and Link‑Loss Mode that simulates a cable failure to trigger upstream failover. These options let administrators prioritize availability or security per deployment. Combined with its front‑access layout and PCIe Gen 4 bandwidth, the module offers a ready‑made solution for scaling high‑performance Ethernet without redesigning existing AEWIN platforms.
