AEWIN has launched the NCT404, a quad-port 10GbE network expansion module built with two Intel E610-XAT2 controllers. The PCIe Gen 4 x8 module offers full-height half-length CEM form factor with two pairs of Gen 3 bypass, designed for both AEWIN platforms and off-the-shelf systems. This provides network administrators with flexible configuration options and enhanced resilience for demanding deployments.

Intel's new E610-XAT2 controller delivers over 50% lower power consumption compared to the previous X710-AT2 generation, helping reduce operational costs significantly. The controller also includes hardware Root of Trust (RoT) for firmware security and comes with a 10-year support lifecycle commitment. These features make the NCT404 particularly suitable for long-term infrastructure projects requiring both energy efficiency and security.

The NCT404 includes SR-IOV functionality for sharing I/O resources across multiple virtual machines, providing excellent scalability for virtualized environments. Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) further enhance performance by offloading traffic handling to the network controller, allowing a single NIC port to function as multiple virtual ports. This combination of features makes the NCT404 a powerful solution for data centers and enterprise networks seeking to optimize their virtualization performance.
