ADLINK's Intel Core Ultra COM Module Targets Edge AI

TechPowerUp •
×

ADLINK launched its first COM Express module using Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The Express-PTL integrates an NPU 5.0 for 50 TOPS of AI acceleration and an Intel Arc GPU with 12 Xe cores, delivering up to 180 platform TOPS. It supports up to 16 CPU cores and 128 GB of DDR5 memory.

This module targets mission-critical edge AI deployments. Its industrial-temperature design operates from -40°C to 85°C, with features like TSN and In-Band ECC for reliability. The hybrid CPU architecture combines performance, efficiency, and low-power cores, aiming for complex workloads in robotics, medical imaging, and autonomous systems where ruggedness and AI compute are essential.

Following the Express-PTL, ADLINK plans more compact solutions. The COM-HPC-mPTL and SBC35-PTL, slated for Q2 2026, will integrate the CPU, NPU, and GPU into smaller footprints for space-constrained applications. These products highlight the industry's push to embed more AI processing directly into industrial and edge hardware.
