The Jacksonville Jaguars and wide receiver Parker Washington are unlikely to agree on a contract extension before the 2026 season begins, according to a source speaking with NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe. The Jaguars explored deals in the range of Michael Wilson's recent three-year, $75 million contract with the Arizona Cardinals, but no agreement was reached as of Saturday night.

Washington, 24, is entering the final year of his rookie contract after a breakout 2025 campaign. He posted career highs with 58 receptions for 847 yards and five touchdowns, adding two punt return scores. The former sixth-round pick is betting on himself for a pivotal season.

Speaking Wednesday, Washington emphasized his focus on the field regardless of negotiations. "To me, my job is to come out here and stay ready to go, just do my job, be the best receiver I can be and make plays for the team," he told Jaguars.com. "If we get it done, that's cool. If not, I'm going to go out Sunday and leave my best out there."
