LSU coach Lane Kiffin returns to Ole Miss on Saturday, and Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry hopes for 'Southern hospitality.'

"I'm thinking about having to send him in on an F-16 and maybe the team on a C-130," Landry joked to ESPN. "Security is going to be really tight... we might need the National Guard."

Kiffin left Ole Miss after an 11-1 2025 season for LSU. Defensive coordinator Pete Golding replaced him and led the Rebels to a 13-2 record and a CFP semifinal. Landry said his office has discussed security with Ole Miss officials.

Kiffin downplayed safety concerns, telling players the attention and hatred will be on him. "You just get to go play," he said. Golding urged fans not to cross a line: "Let's not lose that over a game, over a person."

Kiffin said pressure is on Ole Miss, which returns Heisman candidates Trinidad Chambliss and Kewan Lacy. It's the first time since 1962 both teams are ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll.
