NFL Football 8-Hour Briefing
×QB Movement
The Cardinals informed quarterback Kyler Murray they intend to release him next week unless traded, making him a highly sought free agent. Kyler Murray's exit could significantly impact teams like the Vikings needing QB help. Meanwhile, the Colts placed the transition tag on QB Daniel Jones, while Sean McVay confirmed "great dialogue" with Matthew Stafford about his contract.
Tag Decisions
Breece Hall, George Pickens and Kyle Pitts Sr. received franchise tags, but the Bengals declined to tag defensive end Trey Hendrickson before Tuesday's deadline, making the 2024 All-Pro available for free agency. This franchise tag deadline created ripple effects across multiple teams.
Roster Changes
The Giants are releasing starting middle linebacker Bobby Okereke, freeing $9 million in salary cap space. Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman is retiring at just 27 after four seasons with Atlanta and one with Chicago. Free agency will feature top free agents like Kenneth Walker III, Trey Hendrickson, Jauan Jennings and Malik Willis who could land substantial contracts.
